The Daily Yankee
NAP OF THE DAY: Pop The Cork, (1530 Sandown), 4/1:
A trio of juveniles could potentially dominate here with their 14lb age allowances. Guardia Top has been in great form and is 2lb better off with Pop The Cork for beating that rival at Perth. However, that was the runner up’s hurdles debut a day he can be entitled to improve. At the odds he is value to reverse the placings.
Prairie Town, (1320 Sandown), 12/1: has been around a while and is certainly less progressive than some of these. But he has won off this mark and was a fine running on second to Darebin last time when totally unfancied. Could enjoy this track, and simply looks too big a price.
Overthetop, (1425 Sandown), 7/2: a quality novice hurdle with Happygolucky the favourite off the back of a good Cheltenham run. That may be a slight over reaction, and the unbeaten Overthetop looks to have the potential for his good yard to continue his rise up the ranks.
Le Reve, (1455 Sandown), 7/2: favourite Plantagenet is a favourite of ours and should go well, but he hasn’t tried this Marmite track, but we know veteran Le Reve adores the place with 4 of his 8 wins here. He ran well on reappearance here and may still retain the class to bag a handicap like this.
