Premier League: Slam Dunk!

The Premier League weekend starts on the south coast as Brighton host Bournemouth with both teams really needing the win. Subscribers can use this game to roll over the cash netted by Adama Traore’s goal last night!

Only goal difference separates the two sides, in 15th and 16th in the league, and they are just two points off the relegation zone. And both sides are struggling for form – Brighton have only won one of their last eight league matches and Bournemouth have lost six of their last eight.

We’re not going to pick a winner here, but look to the home side to make the running. Defender Lewis Dunk missed the midweek game against Tottenham because of illness and is likely to come back today. He has scored twice in 17 games this season, but is available at 16/1 to score with a header anytime. Get aboard!

The early evening game sees Norwich host Tottenham at Carrow Road. The home team are winless in their last six home games in the league, while Spurs have won two out of their last three on their travels after breaking their long dismal run away from home.

These stats tend to suggest an away win, even though Spurs didn’t impress last time out against Brighton. Harry Kane has scored four goals in his two appearances against Norwich, and we expect him to net again today. He’s odds on to score anytime so we’ll take a punt the nets first.

The late game sees Manchester United travel to Burnley on the back of a comprehensive 4-1 win over Newcastle on Boxing Day.

The hosts are finding it difficult to score these days, only netting three tubes in their last six games, but still they have won two of their last three matches. This shows they are tricky to break down. That said, United will be confident of doing so, particularly with the pace they have to counter attack.

Marcus Rashford has been the major threat for United this season, scoring 11 times. He is never afraid to shoot, and we’ll take the 10/1 on offer that he scores from outside the penalty area.
