Tuesday Yankee: Stack the Dek..

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY:  Speredek, (1500 Taunton), 1pt win, 12/1:

A good quality hurdle for a Tuesday afternoon at Taunton.  Liberty Bella is very tempting dropping in class from Cheltenham, but Speredek could be a lively outsider switching back from fences.  He is lower rated over hurdles but was a good 6th in the Imperial Cup in his only hurdle run last year.  A confirmed front runner, he could just slip his field on this tight track and if he enjoys himself then he will be hard to peg back.

Snapdragon Fire, (1430 Taunton), 11/4:  has shown a tendency to jump to his right, and his lifetime jumps form on flat right handed tracks, as today, is 221124123.   A mark of 131 is a pound below his best hurdles win, the drying ground is in his favour, and he gets the assistance of Richard Johnson who is in a dogfight to retain his jockeys’ title.

Chloe’s Court (1515 Lingfield), 10/3:  a decent little race, but the 3m around here on this ground is sure to be a stern test of stamina.  Chloe’s Court had shown nothing til this season but three close placings in three runs gives this mare a winning chance and she handles soft ground and extreme distances.

Pola Chance, (1600 Taunton), 8/1:  interesting juvenile gets 12lbs weight for age allowance.  Had looked a potentially nicely handicapped filly until bombing at Worcester last time.  A wind operation and a 3 month break is interesting, and she could complete a cracking double for Speredek’s trainer Nigel Hawke.
