Last weekend saw the second of our 2020 golfing stable to taste the winner’s champagne as Cameron Smith won in Hawaii. He followed Justin Thomas into the winning circle.
We can only hope our subscribers were paying attention to the small print as we managed to dodge both in our final selections! Marks for workings perhaps…
Still, attention now turns back to the European Tour, in the form of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship.
Our elite group of golfers, in the form of Jon Rahm, Justin Thomas and Rory McIlroy, are all missing. And so we’ll have to look further down the betting slip for our selections.
First up is Adri Arnaus. The Spanish golfer hasn’t played competitively since November, which is a concern, but he loves this part of the world. He won his sole Challenge Tour title in the UAE and finished 22nd here last year, pretty good for his fourth European Tour tournament as a full member.
Our second selection is Matthias Schwab. We like this Austrian golfer and think he is destined for big things. He’s not scared of the big event, finishing fourth behind Rory McIlroy in the WGC-HSBC Champions event in China late last year. We’re taking a punt but we like his chances.
You may wish to note that leaves Robert MacIntyre and Victor Perez from our stable as unselected – fill your boots !!
Recommendations:
Arnaus 0.5 pts each way at 80/1, 1/5 the odds for the first seven places, SkyBet
Schwab 0.5 pts each way at 40/1, 1/5 the odds for the first seven places, SkyBet
