NAP OF THE DAY: Ede’iffs Elton, (1610 Plumpton), 1pt win, 11/4:
The key to this race may be the 15 runner handicap here recently in which Ede’iffs Elton finished a half length ahead of Zoltan Varga when second and third respectively. Ede’iffs Elton was making handicap debut there and ran on well having been conservatively ridden. He can improve to take this under the excellent Rex Dingle.
Mister Murchan, (1410 Plumpton), 11/4: a pretty poor race in which this fella’s runner up effort at Ascot stands out a mile. That was a pretty solid effort on just his second handicap, a repeat should be enough but there are reasons to think he could improve with the experience.
Ballydonagh Boy, (1500 Newcastle), 4/1: makes his handicap debut off a decent mark and is entitled to be close to favourite Dubai Days on their last running. Ballydonagh Boy was a little sticky over his hurdles late on having run a bit too freely. That experience should help, and he only needs to find marginal improvement to be a huge contender.
Tzar D’Elfe, (1540 Plumpton), 4/1: might have won here two runs ago but for a huge late blunder. Battled home for a first win last time when winning a photo finish. Many of these veterans are struggling to find form, and the Tzar, in form and at the minimum age of 10, looks a solid call.
