There’s a round of fixtures in the Premier League this midweek, with the highlight being the London derby between Chelsea and Arsenal.
These two teams met at the end of last year, with Chelsea coming from behind to inflict on Mikel Arteta his only defeat in his six matches as manager.
It was quite a fiery affair last time, with nine players booked. The feelings generated are likely to be long lasting, particularly as the clubs don’t like each other anyway. We look for the tackles to fly in tonight, particularly as Arteta looks like he’s trying to instil a harder edge into his side.
Fullback Ainsley Maitland-Niles is a talented player but he can be tempestuous. He has been booked three times in his last five games, including the last time these two met. We’ll take a punt that he sees yellow again.
Additionally, we are leaning on Chelsea winning this game. With the expected physical edge we are going to take a punt on Chelsea’s penalty taker Jorginho scoring, as he did last time.
Recommendations:
Maitland-Niles to be booked, 1 pt, at 17/4, Betway
Jorginho to score anytime, 1 pt, at 11/2, Paddy Power
