The final game of the second weekend of the Six Nations sees France host Italy in Paris.
The hosts were impressive in beating England last week, and are strong favourites to beat an Italian side that were thrashed in Cardiff.
France played some attractive, attacking rugby against England but conditions are likely to be less conducive to that type of rugby this time round. Hopefully we won’t have the dismal weather that turned the game at Murrayfield into such an attritional affair, but rain and wind is expected.
With this in mind we’re going to side with a forward for our first try scorer bet. Step forward Julien Marchand. The French hooker is likely to be at the back of a driving maul from a five yard line out, and we think this is the most likely method of scoring the first try.
Recommendations: Marchand to score first try, 1 pt, at 14/1, SkyBet
