The Daily Yankee
NAP OF THE DAY: Roulston Scar, (1650 Meydan), 1pt win 5/2:
He was in good form throughout last summer for trainer Kevin Ryan, but looks to have elevated his game again during his Dubai campaign for new trainer Simon Crisford. A good win was followed by a fine third last week. This looks easier and he can notch another victory.
Bouchard, (1540 Meydan), 9/4: bolted up in a course and distance event last time. Has been put up 9lbs for that but his aptitude for this course makes him one to follow.
First Nation, (1800 Meydan), 8/1: hasn’t had much chance to show his 12f credentials but has looked to be crying out for it after two never nearer efforts over 10f. With 8 Godolphin horses in the top 9 of the betting we can be sure of a well run race and that may suit this guy more than some of his more well fancied stablemates.
Temujin (2030 Chelmsford), 7/1: ran with promise a number of times for previous yard Charlie Hills. Has made a move to all weather maestro Michael Appleby and has a wind operation. Makes his stable debut now and it would be no surprise if he found substantial improvement.
