Saturday sees a clash between two of the top three sides in the Premier League, with Manchester City traveling to the King Power Stadium to take on Leicester City.
Leicester won this fixture last season but have lost five of the past six league clashes. They are also struggling to find a fit defensive midfielder, and this leaves them vulnerable to the counterattack.
Manchester City showed no signs of fretting about their potential European ban when dismissing West Ham midweek, and we think there is a strong chance these events will only galvanise the squad.
With this in mind we’re going to side with the men from the Etihad. Sergio Aguero didn’t score midweek, but will be keen to net today given the Golden Boot is still a distinct possibility. He’s an enhanced 9/2 to score first with Paddy Power – get on!
The early game is a London derby between Chelsea and Tottenham, traditionally two teams that don’t really like each other.
There will be a great deal of respect between the two managers, and this could lessen the enmity. But the hosts are only one point ahead in the race for the important fourth position in the league, so there is a fair bit riding on the clash.
Tottenham have suffered badly from injuries to their forward line, and it’s difficult to see them scoring too many goals today. With that in mind, we’re going to side with Chelsea.
Willian has been in prime form this season, and we’ll take an enhanced 9/1 that he scores from outside the penalty area.
Recommendations:
Leicester/Manchester City: Aguero to score first, 1 pt, at 9/2, Paddy Power
Chelsea/Tottenham: Willian to score from outside the penalty area, 1 pt, at 9/1, William Hill
