Champions League: Belgian bullet…

There’s a real cracker of a game in the Champions League today, as Real Madrid host Manchester City at the Bernabeu.

City look set to lose their Premier League title so this is likely to be their main focus, especially as this may be the last time they play in this competition for a couple of years if their ban is upheld.

They face the kings of the European Cup – Real Madrid have won the tournament (in its various guises) 13 times, and four times in the last six years.

City could win this tie, but history suggests this first leg away from home will be difficult. That said, we can see both teams conceding tonight.

Still, on the big occasions the big players shine. We are real fans of Kevin de Bruyne and think this is the occasion for the Belgian superstar to show his worth. We’ll take him to score from outside the penalty area at an enhanced 12/1.

Recommendations: De Bruyne to score from outside the penalty area, 1 pt, at 12/1, William Hill
