The Daily Yankee
NAP OF THE DAY: Poker Party, (1640 Leopardstown), 1pt win, 6/4:
A horse who did us a few favours last year and has continued in good form this season. His 4th last time in a big handicap here is by far the best form on offer, he is just 2lbs higher and comes from the red-hot De Bromhead-Blackmore combination.
Jon Snow, (1430 Leopardstown), 7/4: Once had a big reputation for Willie Mullins but three maiden defeats leaves him scrambling to get something from the season. In fairness he has lost out to some good horses and this has the look of finally being his turn.
Spruced Up, (1535 Leopardstown), 7/2: was heavily penalised for running away with a Fairyhouse handicap but still ran with credit when 4th in a big field back here. The extra 2f may have stretched her then and the return to this bare 2m looks ideal.
Batcio, (1610 Leopardstown), 6/4: decent novice who tried to make all in a strong handicap here last time but tipped up at the second last when still just in front. This is a big step down in class and he can dominate if putting that lapse behind him.
