NAP OF THE DAY: Cherif De L’Isle, (1420 Leopardstown), 1pt win, 11/2:
Hurdler has hit a certain consistency of late having come third in his last four handicaps all at Navan. This track may help his run style and with the great Davy Russell doing the steering he has a good chance to go two places better.
Severus Alexander, (1315 Leopardstown), 20/1: Juvenile who was with Joseph O’Brien but has recently switch to Gavin Cromwell. Showed little in his maiden runs and has been given a lowly rating. With his weight for age allowance he could be a lively outsider in a poor race.
Shakeytry, (1525 Leopardstown), 11/4: had been knocking on the door in beginners chases and this is the time of season those types prosper as the quality horses get seeded out by virtue of winning and moving on, leaving easy pickings for the likes of this fella.
Ask And Answer, (1600 Leopardstown), 9/2: Has been in very good form of late at longer trips. This isn’t the best of races for this venue and whilst the hot favourite was a good winner last time he had a record of disappointment before then, so there’s a fair chance for a consistent type like Ask And Answer.
