Wednesday Yankee: Tin star at Kempton…

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY: Tintoretto, (1945 Kempton), 1pt win, 9/2:

Had plenty of experience in Ireland and made an interesting UK debut for his new yard at Lingfield. Looked to be travelling well there but lost his position before staying on for a close last of 5. Got dropped a pound for that and now gets Tom Marquand in the saddle and should come on a ton for that effort.

Percy’s Prince, (1700 Lingfield), 11/4: not the easiest to win with but that is true of all of these. Ran well here last time putting behind him a previous wild course run. The longer trip looked likely to suit based on his staying on effort and it is the trip at which he resgistered his one career win so far off this same mark.

Star Of Bengal, (1715 Kempton), 2/1: comes from a top yard, won after 5 months off on the all weather at Wolves, and then after another 6 months off at Chelmsford, Form tailed off after that, but he has now had another 5 months off and may be worth catching fresh.

Songo, (1745 Kempton), 2/1: landed his first run in this country last week and now tries a quick double up under a 5lb penalty. That leaves him 2lbs well in on future ratings. If he improves for the run then this should be a formality.
