The Daily Yankee
NAP OF THE DAY: Pres, (1555 Ffos Las), 1pt win, 5/2:
He ran a cracker when second at Newbury last week, narrowly beaten and 25l clear of the rest. Due to go up 5lb for that run but gets to race off his old mark here and should go one better.
Kerb Line, (1525 Ffos Las), 3/1: has had three quiet maiden runs and now tries his first handicap. Stayed on nicely from well behind at Exeter last time earning the commentary description “eye-catching”. Can deliver off his favourable rating.
Call Me Sid, (1630 Ffos Las), 11/4: this track doesn’t suit all horses so it’s always interesting when a runner has proven course form. This fella was a close second over a longer trip last time here looking like a drop back to today’s distance would suit.
Clondaw Westie, (1700 Ffos Las), 4/1: has a little bit to find at the weights with the market leaders here, but is the only horse with proven current fitness and form and that could be key on this testing ground.
