Monday Yankee: Flame to set the week alight…

One more sleep….

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY:  Elysian Flame, (1410 Stratford), 1pt win, 5/2:

A well contested juvenile hurdle to open Stratford’s notorious pre-Cheltenham fixture.  Elysian Flame steps back from Grade 1 level and remains un-penalised as a maiden after two runs.  Can remedy that here.

Russian Service,  (1605 Taunton), 7/1:  came back from injury lay off with some below par efforts that saw his rating plunge but he was a much better second here last time.  The favourites here come off wins on better ground and may find the heavy ground here too taxing.

Le Cameleon, (1630 Stratford), 9/4:  very unexposed novice who progressed from a good maiden win to run second in a big field of handicappers at Chepstow.  History may show he had a near impossible task with the winner and this looks much more winnable.

Kilmington Rose, (1750 Taunton), 2/1:  was given a fine introductory ride on debut, staying on to chase home a class act.  Has some classy opponents again today, but should show the benefit of that debut and that can see her home.
