Friday Yankee: Here comes the galloping Major…

So it was looking like a few months off, but then Horse Racing Ireland races on in their first time blinkers….at least for now. Plenty of runners at Dundalk’s saviour card, count the jockeys and it might be a record crowd even if it is behind closed doors.

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY: Major Power, (1630 Dundalk), 1pt win, 11/4:

Has completed a three timer here in recent weeks.  Steps back in trip here but doesn’t lack speed and looks like he has one or two wins still in him before the handicapper catches up.

Casa Romano, (1330 Dundalk), 11/1:  ran a race of interest back at the Galway festival last Summer.  Was hardly seen since but ran another promising race on return here last month.  This trip looks ideal and he is nicely drawn to start delivering on those hints of better.

Followme Followyou,  (1530 Dundalk), 3/1:  filly is still a maiden after 14 runs albeit she has been unlucky a few times including when we tipped her last year during her UK years.  Has been consistent on this surface and surely will be getting her head in front soon.

Cautious Approach, (1600 Dundalk), 4/1:  in form mare who loves it here.  Has the beating of rival Tonkinese on recent running and went very close off this mark recently.  Will be hard to beat.
