Monday Yankee: Full Moon…

A nice winning nap at Haydock yesterday for sprinting filly Liberty Beach (adv 7/2). We’re back at Haydock for the nap today…

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY: Moon King, (1415 Haydock), 1pt win, 11/4

Won 5 in a row last year shooting from a mark of 60 up to 90, including a win here.  Was the. 4th off this mark in a very good race here before 6th in a big York handicap. Looks the type to improve again now a 4yo and with an extra 2f.  This looks the perfect starting point and it helps that the stable ended a dry run with a double here yesterday.

Arch Moon, (1515 Haydock), 3/1: lightly raced at two, finishing second twice.  Will probably stay further in time but this looks a good opportunity.  His form stacks up pretty well and he promises to be one of his stable’s better 3yo prospects.

Summer Sands (1705 Naas), 11/4:  was a good sprinting 2yo for previous trainer Fahey in the UK last year with a decent effort at Royal Ascot and a big win at Redcar.  Debuts for Joseph O’Brien today and looks a good fancy to convert that UK sprint form over to Ireland.

Forever In Dreams, (1735 Naas), 7/2:  we’re keen to take on all weather star Sceptical back on turf, and old pal Sergei Prokofiev is very tempting here.  But both of those may have their hand full with sprinting filly Forever In Dreams who won on fast at Haydock’s sharp 6f last year which should be similar to this.  She was runner up in a Group 1 at Royal Ascot and third back there against at Group 1 level in her last start.  She could be the class act here.
