Sunday Yankee: Chief on the warpath…

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY: Camacho Chief, (1400 Doncaster), 1pt win, 5/1:

An interesting sprint where three stand out in Jabbarockie, Embour and Camacho Chief. It’s the Chief who looks likely to prevail in these conditions. The fast pace certain from Jabba should set it up perfectly fit the Chief’s late closing style.

El Astronaute, (1435 Doncaster), 7/2: this blistering sprinter can get the best of the battle for the early lead. He has better form when fresh than favourite Dakota Gold, and if he can get loose on the lead he could be impossible to catch.

Fifth Position, (1510 Doncaster), 5/2: ran a blinder on return when third in a decent little race at Newcastle. That was a straight mile and having been outpaced he then stayed on again very well in the final furlong. This extra distance looks sure to suit and he can use his fitness advantage against a few of these.

Kings Advice, (1540 Doncaster), 11/4: several of these have been off for a long time or have become jaded. Kings Advice ran up a sequence of brave wins before the handicapper caught up with him. He returned with a solid 6th in the Group 3 Sagaro at Newcastle when momentarily looking likely to get involved. These are shallower waters, and even more so given the pretty poor turnout, and he can build on that reappearance with a win for his in form stable.
