Royal Ascot has been chugging along in solid fashion for us all week, but the 4 wins on Tuesday, 2 wins on Wednesday and then 1 win on Thursday was a worrying trend – but it was bucked in fine fashion today.

Wins for Art Power in the opener and Golden Horde in the day’s feature race the Commonwealth Cup had ensured we were ahead for the day and nicely up for the week, but then came the day’s closer….

Our Nap of the day was a bit of a punt on 40/1 shot (33/1 SP) Scarlet Dragon. But our point each way looked good money throughout as he got a confident ride from Hollie Doyle, held up but then slaloming her way up the home straight to weave a pretty pattern all the way to a stunning win.

There may not have been many cheers in Berkshire, but Lapoftheodds HQ was rocking (in a socially distant way of course)!! ….may need a lie down now…
