There are five Premier League games scheduled for Wednesday, but we are going to concentrate on two.
First up, Newcastle entertain Aston Villa at St. James’ Park. The hosts were impressive in defeating Sheffield United over the weekend, and we expect them to follow up with another win against a Villa side that looks destined for the Championship.
Newcastle have been defensively strong, particularly at home, while Villa have struggled to score goals. A home win looks likely.
Next up, Norwich take on Everton at Carrow Road. The visitors did well to hold Liverpool to a draw on Sunday, and look to be on the up.
Norwich, on the other hand, are at the bottom of the league and heading quickly towards relegation. They have added to the colour of the Premier League, but defensively they haven’t been good enough, particularly judging from Friday’s defeat against Southampton.
We think Everton will have too much for the hosts, particularly with Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin looking dangerous up front.
