NAP OF THE DAY: House Deposit, (1420 Catterick), 1pt win, 11/4:
Some interesting types bubbling under here, but whilst they are simmering, House Deposit comes here boiling after a good Haydock win. Is well in under a penalty, and his hold up style makes the wider-than-ideal draw less of a problem.
Real Estate, (1540 Bath), 9/4: not much on the book here between last week’s course second and third Union Rose and Real Estate. Strictly speaking Union Rose should have the edge, but Real Estate looked a genuinely unlucky loser that day and may well have been a clear winner with some luck. He can be backed with confidence to get revenge.
Rock Of Fame (1720 Bath), 1/1: looked the winner throughout her handicap debut at Windsor last week only to get touched off near the line. Is 6lbs well in here off the back of that effort and this looks a routine chance to notch a win.
Dublin Rocker, (1830 Wolves), 5/2: this filly showed zero in two runs last year, but her 3yo debut at Pontefract recently was much more encouraging. That running on third stands out in this weak event, and her opening handicap mark of 55 will surely prove to be an underestimate – hopefully starting tonight.
