Monday Yankee: Marshal to lay down the law…

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY:  Marshal Dan, (1410 Windsor), 1pt win, 8/1:

Was a winning nap for us last time at Chepstow when holding on well despite chasing a suicidal early pace.  As such has only been raised a couple of pounds when he could be value for a lot more.  This is a tougher race, but he’ll get the strong pace he needs and he is still in lifetime best form.

Involved, (1610 Windsor), 9/4 :  seems to have improved for the switch to his in form new stable.  Ran a close second in a good Newmarket race and rubber stamped that with a runaway win a few days later.  Has been given more time and the 8lb rise looks well within reach.  Ryan Moore is an obviously strong jockey booking.

Soramond (1645 Windsor),  11/4:  plenty in here could improve for handicaps but we know that Soramond and Tiger Zone will go well having fought out a close finish recently off similar marks.  Tiger Zone got going a bit late then and looked like he really should have won, but we are great believers in winners confirming form, and Soramond battled hard that day to fend off his rival, and may do so again under the excellent Atzeni.

Vibrance, (1915 Kempton), 9/4:  has won four of her last five runs, all over this course and distance.  She’s on a higher mark now and against stronger opponents, but she’s one of the few here guaranteed to enjoy conditions and her last win suggested she is still improving leaps and bounds.
