Friday Yankee: Take aim with Revolver….

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY: Revolver, (1755 Haydock), 1pt win, 5/2:

Owned by some good friends of ours and comes here on a typical Prescott roll after three quick wins.  Races a bit lazily and probably has much more to offer – this will be far his biggest test and on softer ground, but that helps make him a backable price for once.

Breanski, (1440 Beverley), 2/1:  has won off 84 and 85, but has tended to stall at today’s mark of 86 or above.  That said, his second last week at Newmarket was a great effort and he may have won with an easier run.  Will need luck again here from stall 1, but with luck should come the win.

Raatea, (1735 Leicester), 6/4:  comes from the flying Tregoning yard and looked improved for gelding and ageing when first a winner on reappearance then a desperately unlucky third at Newmarket last time.  Has only gone up a pound there but surely has a lot more in the locker.

Trueshan, (1825 Haydock), 2/1:    Progressed throughout last year and made a useful comeback in a good Listed race at Newmarket on ground that would have been quick enough. Conditions look ideal here and he should win. We love Alignak, but for all that he looks very progressive, the 13lbs he needs to find on official ratings looks a few pounds too many.
