The Champions League returns with a cracking tie, as Manchester City take on Real Madrid at the Etihad.
City hold a 2-1 lead from the first leg at the Bernabeu, helped by a masterclass from midfield maestro Kevin de Bruyne. The Belgian scored one and set up the other in the first clash.
De Bruyne has been outstanding for City this season and deserves to be mentioned in the same vein as the very best of European football. However, as his manager recognised a couple of years ago, he is unlikely to be nominated for a Ballon d’Or until he wins a Champions League.
His team has a great chance to win this season’s interrupted tournament and he will undoubtedly do his all to try and achieve this.
Paddy Power offers 5/2 that De Bruyne scores today, which is of interest, but we’ll take SkyBet’s 8/1 that he scores from outside of the penalty area.
Recommendation:
De Bruyne to score from outside the penalty area, 1 pt, at 8/1, SkyBet
