Europa League: Fernandes to let fly…

The quarterfinals of the Europa League continue tonight, with Manchester United taking on Sevilla in Cologne.

United have played well since the restart, with Rashford, Martial and Greenwood forming a lethal attacking partnership. But they now face a very strong side – Sevilla are unbeaten in 19 games!

Sevilla have history with this tournament. They have reached the semifinal stage on three occasions, going on to win the tournament on each occasion, in 2014, 2015 and 2016.

United too progressed from the semis in 2017, to win the trophy, but lost to this Sevilla side in the last 16 of the Champions League the following year.

This is going to prove a very difficult game, and we’re looking for key players to stand up to be counted. Bruno Fernandes has been outstanding since his arrival, developing a shoot on sight policy.

He’s 5/2 to score anytime, which may be worth considering given the number of penalties United are awarded, but we’re going to chance the 14/1 on offer that he scores from outside the penalty area.

Recommendation: Fernandes to score from outside the penalty area, 1 pt, at 14/1, SkyBet
