Monday Yankee: Fancy Ghat…

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY: Ghathanfar, (1345 Catterick), 1pt win, 13/2:

Has been a revelation this season looking unlucky in a big field at Doncaster and then proving that was no fluke with a fluent win a few days later at Musselburgh.  That form has worked out well and a 5lb rise looks very reasonable.  Has been freshened up since and should go well.

Oso Rapido, (1420 Catterick), 7/2:  came good in his final 2yo run and showed plenty of promise when edged out late on in a three way photo on his belated seasonal reappear at Beverly last time.  An inside draw here on a track that suits his prominent race style and he must have a big chance of taking the win for his strong stable.

Lady Nectar, (1530 Catterick), 6/4:  won for us last week in runaway fashion against a big field at Thirsk.  A 6lb penalty doesn’t look enough to slow down this flying mare and she should easily add another win before the weight piles on.

Ballylemon, (1930 Windsor), 7/1:  won a couple last year when ridden prominently.  Has been all over the place in three runs tactically and distance wise, but it was this trip last time at Bath that hinted he was ready to win again.  A good second there, he looks nicely weighted and could benefit from a positive ride at this course.
