The Daily Yankee
NAP OF THE DAY: Rhythmic Intent, (1450 Haydock), 1pt win, 4/1:
Has handicap form on good or firmer of 03624, but on soft that improves dramatically to 21311. Gets his ground here and although a bit higher than at Sandown last time, that was a career best and he has plenty in hand by the line. Old favourite Indianapolis could run well at a big price for each way fans.
Kipps, (1505 Ascot), 4/1: we were on this fella at Royal Ascot when just pipped over this 12f trio. That race has become the season’s form goldmine, within which context a 6lb higher mark for Kipps looks a gift. It looked a little less than that in subsequent defeats at Newmarket and York but they were at different distances and different tracks. If he is to uphold the golden form then surely the same course and distance is the ideal opportunity.
Jonah Jones, (1540 Ascot), 5/1: has dashed our hopes for him a few times including when 4th here 3 runs ago. That form has worked out very well, and although he hasn’t shone since, his run at York last time was an improvement. Back on the track of his best run and stepped up to 6f, he looks to have a good chance of breaking a frustrating run.
Via Serendipity, (1615 Ascot), 5/1: was a well backed winner over. Mile here recently recording a second course win. Whilst up for that win, he still has an attractive mark by historic levels. He tend to find his form in blocks, so could well run at least as well as last time and that may be enough to beat blog regular Blue Mist.
