NAP OF THE DAY: Spanish Kiss, (1610 Newcastle), 1pt win 7/4:
He was a tip for us yesterday when withdrawn at Windsor. We take it as a good sign when a trainer cherry picks an opportunity line this, with the in form yard of William Knight obviously deciding this was the easier target. Ran with great promise on handicap debut and this looks there for the taking off the same mark.
Stag Horn, (1640 Goodwood), 11/4: an improving front running staying 3yo who gets on here off a low weight. Has to keep improving now taking on tougher opponents, but with. I other obvious pacesetters, jockey Hollie Doyle may be able to set her own fractions and that can be deadly around here:
Dream Today, (1715 Goodwood), 7/2: we were big fans of Abel Handy when he made all to win for us last week, but this is a very different challenge. Dream Today showed he enjoys this track when somehow getting into a close second in the Stewards Cup consolation despite an early stumble and an unfavourable mid-track move. A repeat of that form should win this, hopefully with less drama.
Stormin Norman, (1730 Catterick), 6/1: started life in bumpers and remains fairly lightly raced on the flat. Won a couple last year, and made a game winning comeback at Musselburgh recently. Has a very able amateur on board and has been raised only 2lbs for that win and should have scope to go in again.
