Kerching !! Song is a 45/1 yankee hit!!

After a barren Summer it is truly harvest time. A couple of big Yankee wins in recent weeks had balanced a few books, which platformed today’s Yankee to deliver the gravy.

Three winners were enough on a high quality Curragh card to fuel a big win.

First up was English sprint raider Mr Lupton (9/1 early, 11/2 SP), a regular Curragh visitor who again showed his liking for the course.

After a leg 2 dud, we rightly called that sprint mare Glass Slippers (9/2) would re-find her Group 1 winning form of last Autumn.

Then it was up to our Nap to land the goods, with mare Search For A Song (7/1), tipped to defend her Irish St Leger win, which she did in great style.

Three good priced winners made for a roughly 45/1 to 50/1 return on total staked.

We don’t want to be too churlish, but the disappointment was our leg 2 pick, where we were too forgiving of a bad run, which if we had judged on merit would have lead us to the winner and a massive return. Next time maybe.

Stay tuned…
