NFL: Handicap treble to start season…

It’s the first Sunday of the new NFL season, and that means a tasty treble for our subscribers to try.

First up we have the Baltimore Ravens taking on the Cleveland Browns. The Ravens are the defending AFC North champions and include the current MVP in Lamar Jackson.

Jackson runs an explosive offence, which is likely to rack up quite a few points. We take the Ravens to cover the 7.5 point spread.

Next up is the San Francisco 49ers taking on the Arizona Cardinals. The 49ers are the reigning NFC champions and swept the Cardinals last season. Both of those games were high scoring, but we expect the 49ers defence to come to the fore today, keeping the Cards to a low score, and allowing the Californian team to cover the 6.5 point spread.

Finally we have the New Orleans Saints taking on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The main talking point surrounding this game is the debut for living legend Tom Brady with the Buccs, after his decision to leave the Patriots.

Still, as good as Brady has been, the Saints are the defending NFC South champions and we’ll take them to win this game, overturning a 3.5 point spread.
