Premier League: Quick start for Vardy & Kane…

The first Sunday of the new Premier League season starts off with West Brom hosting Leicester at the Hawthorns.

The hosts may take heart from how well fellow promoted side Leeds did at Anfield on Saturday, but probably wouldn’t have chosen today’s visitors to start the season.

Leicester have won their last four matches at West Brom, with their star striker Jamie Vardy having netted on each occasion.

We’ll side with tradition, and take Vardy to score again, this time with the first goal of the match.

The late game sees Tottenham host Everton. The visitors have spent big in the summer, bringing in three players to boost their ranks in the midfield. But they have a terrible record against Spurs away from home.

Everton have won just three of their 28 away games against Tottenham, and it’s difficult to see this run changing today given their new players will take time to gel.

Spurs striker Harry Kane has scored nine goals in his last nine games against Everton, and he has had two matches with England to get sharp for the start of the season. We’ll take him to score the opening goal today.
