Monday Yankee: Make date with Gate..

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY: Harrogate, (1555 Lingfield), 1pt win, 7/2:
Powerful front runner on his day who likes fast ground.   Made all against the stands rail on his only previous turf run here, and now arrives in form, on fast ground, and drawn just off the rail.  Expect a repeat showing.

Twin Appeal, (1330 Thirsk), 15/2:  veteran 9yo but won this very race last year and returns just a pound higher.  Has signalled peak form with a couple of Beverley seconds.  Has a length to find with Bibbidibobbidiboo on Catterick form last time, but this track and quicker ground could enable that turnaround.

Harvest Day, (1405 Thirsk), 14/1:  mare who is capable on her day but has become inconsistent with age.  She is though now rated 2lb lower than when winning this race last season.  The booking of veteran Graham Lee could be a brainwave, and if can coax the best out of the mare then she is handicapped to win.

Impulsive One, (1505 Bath), 6/4:  was a confident pick for us on nursery debut last week at Windsor and was a little unlucky to be pipped when miles clear of the rest.  Gets to run quickly off the same mark and surely has plenty in hand as long as he can take the two quick runs.
