The initial weekend of the new Premier League continues Monday, with two more games.
First up sees Sheffield United hosting Wolves at Bramall Lane. These two sides had impressive seasons last time, and both have strengthened to try and maintain their lofty league positions.
We’re not sure which of the new boys start today, but we know that the last time these two met it was a very tight encounter. We think it will be likely to be similar this time around, with set pieces to the fore.
John Egan scored an injury-time header to snatch the points for United last time, and he’s 17/1 to score this evening. We’ll be on that.
The late game sees Chelsea travelling to the south coast to take on Brighton.
The Chelsea side that takes the field tonight at the Amex could look very different from the team that ended last season. They have brought in players of the quality of Werner, Ziyech, Havertz and Thiago Silva.
The two teams actually met in a pre-season friendly at the end of August, where Timo Werner found the net. We’ll take the German star to get his career off to the dream start, with the opening goal tonight.
Sheffield United/Wolves: Egan to score anytime, 1 pt, at 17/1, Paddy Power
