NAP OF THE DAY: Call Me Ginger, (1555 Ayr), 1pt win, 6/1:
A full field for the Bronze Cup and a good chance to get stuck into a big of a blog favourite. Call Me Ginger keeps threatening to win a good race and may have been unfortunate again at Donny last time. Definitely handicapped to win and this race has a lot of deadwood in it and may not be as hard to win as the numbers suggest.
Kinross, (1615 Newbury), 3/1: talented 3yo who looked capable of top honours entering the season. An ok run in the 2000 Guineas was followed by a poor effort at Deauville. Haydock last time was a big step back in the right direction and the drop to 7f could be the making of him.
Vive La Difference, (1655 Ayr), 9/2: looked like he had lost his form until looking suspiciously promising at Doncaster last time out. Down another 3lbs to a very low mark here, dropped in class, and from a stable who couldn’t stop winning here yesterday. Looks set to come good.
Donnelly’s Rainbow, (1725 Ayr), 9/1: was rated 63 when winning on this card last year and runs off an effective 69 here carrying a 4lb penalty for a runaway Musselburgh win. Can look really good when held up off a strong pace, and as long as they go quick enough he could have enough in hand to win again.
