The Daily Yankee
NAP OF THE DAY: Inductive, (1440 Ayr), 1pt win, 7/2:
Has looked a huge improver when getting his conditions – namely quick ground here and blinkers. Has won the last twice he had those circumstances and has lost bravely in ground too soft in other recent runs. Has everything going for him today and can land another win.
Cruyff Turn, (1230 Ayr), 9/2: Deftly left the handicapper bamboozled with a sharp change in form in keeping with his name when surging to a win at Redcar recently. Beat our nap that day who is a consistent benchmark, and that being his handicap debut and just his fourth lifetime run, there is good reason to expect him to improve further.
Dark Defender, (1330 Ayr), 13/2: may not be the most trustworthy, but his stable has hit top form recently and he joined in when an excellent 2nd here in the competitive Bronze Cup. Looked likely to win when looming up going well then, and there was no disgrace in losing out narrowly. This looks a similar test and he can go one better.
Only Alone, (1405 Ayr), 6/1: a lightly raced 3yo filly who pulled off a shock win on seasonal debut. Hasn’t been able to follow that up in handicap company since, but did show signs that something may be about to blossom when a decent 5th at Pontefract last time. Looks worth chancing with this step up in trip and could not have better help from the saddle.
