Thursday Yankee: Trigger happy…

NAP OF THE DAY:  Triggered, (1505 Salisbury), 1pt win, 13/2:

Finished behind today’s favourites when 10th at Ascot last time but continues to drop to ever more dangerous marks.  Has become something of an habitual slow starter but that is baked into his form and his price, but there has been enough on display off higher marks this season to suggest he could shake these up with his customary late run.

El Savaje, (1800 Chelmsford), 5/2: we fancied this fella last time over this course and distance and he was arguably very unlucky when having to navigate a wide path before being touched off in a photo with the rest well beaten. Gets to run here off the same mark which makes him 3lbs well in on future ratings and leaves him getting a whopping 13lbs off the penalised favourite Born A King.

Trusty Rusty, (1615 Salisbury), 5/1:  lightly raced 3yo filly who showed massive improvement to lead all the way at Lingfield last time til caught on the bob by an in form rival.  Has gone up 5lbs but those two were miles clear and with the first time headgear fitted today it looks likely that she will again look to make all and she could be very hard to pass.

Street Parade, (1830 Chelmsford), 4/1:  we have to take a leap of faith as this fella was awful in three summer turf runs.  But he was competitive here off a mark 10lbs higher in the spring and has switched to a new yard. The booking of William Buick looks significant and suggest he may have shown some sparkle in his new home.
