The Daily Yankee
NAP OF THE DAY: Tremor, (1510 Nottingham), 1pt win, 14/1:
Some useful types in this little handicap but soft ground at Notts is a bit on an acquired taste. Tremor improved from a last place on debut to a long priced win here on soft on his second 2yo start last year. He hasn’t shown much in two runs this year but looks a long price to come good now that he gets his winning conditions from last season.
Tide Of Time, (1550 Navan), 7/2: adores a 5f Navan soft ground dash. Has won here four times in such circumstances and ran well here on slightly quicker ground two runs ago. Doesn’t have a huge amount left in hand of the handicapper, but under ideal circumstances and against a moderate looking field he can squeeze one more win out before the weight tells.
Mister Snowdon, (1930 Kempton), 10/1: a blog regular who was a bit disappointing last time at Doncaster and is priced accordingly. It’s possible he may have had enough, but equally this turning all weather test with an emphasis on a finishing kick may just suit this fella’s weaponry, and if could be value to give him a chance to prove it.
Lady Eleanor, (2000 Kempton), 9/1: was a big price when running an absolute blinder here two runs ago to come fourth from miles off the pace. Was made favourite at Wolves off the back of that last time out but that is a different test and she didn’t spark. Back to Kempton tonight and there has to be a good chance of a reversion to peak form on which case she looks a big price.
