The Daily Yankee
NAP OF THE DAY: Queen Of Camelot, (1510 Ayr), 1pt win, 4/1:
A very lightly raced 3yo filly who gave a lifetime best effort when 4th in a better race than this over this course and distance last time out. Still gets a nice weight allowance as a 3yo and has the incomparable experience of Graham Lee in the saddle, and there are few finer than him over these staying trips.
Ayr Poet, (1305 Ayr), 7/2: has climbed up the handicap from basement levels after a series of excellent efforts this season including a series of wins, one over this track. Hasn’t yet raced over this distance but stays the 9f well at stiffer Hamilton so should see this out and may even improve further. Bang in form and that could be good enough again in this company.
Black Friday, (1410 Ayr), 6/1: Danzan is a class dropper, and John Kirkup loves these conditions, but both may be fighting for a place behind Black Friday. He won a nice race here over this trip earlier in the year and has run well k we longer distances since. The return to a sprint on soft ground here could be just perfect.
Sienna Dream, (1440 Ayr), 3/1: a game mare who should know her way around here blindfolded. Likes this trip and copes with all ground. Looks sure to run her race and although she has been unlucky to get pipped repeatedly of late, this doesn’t look the strongest and she can get a well earned win.
