Monday Yankee: Mid level success…

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY:  Mid Winster, (1610 Pontefract), 1pt win, 4/1:

Won very nicely at Ayr two runs ago, and there was no disgrace when 5th upped sharply in class at Haydock last time.  Steps back in class again here and may have too much up against weaker opponents.

Epic Endeavour, (1500 Windsor), 4/1:  has looked good in front running wins at Chepstow and Newbury recently.  That last win was a decent looking race and a 4lb rise looks very fair.  Front running tactics could work well here and he has the rail draw to grab the early lead and then if he can grab the far rail in the straight that could be game over.

Starter For Ten, (1515 Pontefract), 9/4:  Penny Pot Lane is a regular here but she has to defy a mark that has beaten here for the last 3 years.  Starter For Ten is very much on the up and his limits are still unknown.  Probably should have won before finally doing so last time, that might just unlock a sequence.

What A Business, (1550 Pontefract), 7/2:  plenty of course regulars in opposition here.  What A Business has been knocking on the door all season and this looks his best chance.  Likely to make the running from stall 3, and could be hard to pass if grabbing the near rail up the straight.
