There are three games to enjoy this Sunday in the Premier League, making a first goalscorer Trixie a live possibility.
First up sees Southampton host Everton at St. Mary’s Stadium. The visitors have started the season in style, and currently top the league, remaining unbeaten so far. However, we think this could be a tricky game, particularly if star midfielder James Rodriguez fails a fitness test.
Southampton now look a lot more like the side that ended last season, drawing at Stamford Bridge last time after being 3-0 down. We think they will have Everton plenty of problems, and take star striker Danny Ings to open the scoring. He has netted four times in five games against Everton for Southampton.
Next up is Wolves hosting Newcastle. The hosts are starting to look like a really good side again. They have been strong defensively, keeping seven clean sheets in their last nine league home games, and in Raul Jimenez they have a top striker.
Newcastle come fresh off a 4-1 thrashing at home to Manchester United and may struggle to penetrate the Wolves defence. We see this as a home win, and take Jimenez to start the ball rolling.
The late game sees Arsenal take on Leicester at the Emirates. This might be a good time for the Gunners to take on Leicester, as the visitors have lost their last two league games and star striker Jamie Vardy has injury concerns.
Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has gone four Premier League games without a goal but he does have an excellent scoring record against today’s opponents, including betting a brace in thus fixture two seasons ago. We’ll take home to score first tonight.
Ings (Southampton) at 100/30, Jimenez (Wolves) at 13/5 and Aubameyang (Arsenal) at 3/1 to all score first as a Trixie (Prices thanks to Paddy Power)
