Monday Yankee: Fall for Wal…

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY:  Walhaan , (1435 Leicester), 1pt win, 7/2.

Has looked good on occasions this season after import from France.  Followed a good second at Ascot by clearly winning in his small group in the Cambridgeshire.  That was only worth a mid division finish there but this is obviously easier, and the heavy ground should hold no fears having won on that surface in his younger days.

Soapy Stevens, (1240 Redcar), 2/1:  this looks a three runner affair and after being blown away by the breeding of Mahomes, we have been less than blown away by his efforts on the track.  Soapy Stevens is far less well bred, but his debut effort at Nottingham was extremely promising and he can improve enough to take those

George Ridsdale, (1555 Newcastle), 9/4:  struck form with a runaway win here recently.  Folio offa higher mark at Ayr and then was a gallant third back there just 24hrs later.  Up a little more for that but we know he loves this track and he surely has extra to give off a more suitable break between races.

Bringitonboris, (1800 Newcastle), 6/1:  has hit form this summer with a good win at Ayr and an excellent second here off just a 4lb higher mark here last time.  Ran into a particularly well handicapped opponent then and must have a good chance off the same mark.  Today’s opponents are in form but the handicapper is catching up with all of them and that makes this winnable.
