Tuesday Yankee: Hunt for Max value…

A nice winning nap again yesterday when Anemoi (7/2 early, 5/2 SP) bravely overcame a blunder two out to rally for a narrow win that augurs well for his campaign ahead. It’s to Huntingdon for today’s nap…

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY:  Wild Max, (1345 Huntingdon), 1pt win, 3/1:

A nice little race which could go the way of the Nicholls juggernaut.  Wild Max is an ex-German flat horse and after two nice novice wins he flopped in the mud on his last start as a novice.  Was much better on decent ground when reappearing at Cheltenham when 4th after being hampered 2 out.  He ran well there albeit not seeming to enjoy the undulations.  The master trainer has targeted this flat course and good ground and it looks like good thinking.

Nightline, (1415 Huntingdon), 3/1:  these veteran chase don’t take much winning with so many of the runners lights of former years.  Unless Ten Sixty can shrug off a 40 month layoff, then this looks particularly weak.  Nightline bowled along nicely in front for a long way on his return at Kempton recently before tiring late on.  With that run under the belt he could make all here.

Her Dream, (1445 Huntingdon), 7/2:  favourite Project Mars is back on a mark she has routinely struggled with and the door is open.  Her Dream showed no form for previous trainer Claire Dyson and is handicapped accordingly on a desperately low mark.  No disrespect, but the switch to Olly Murphy has worked wonders in the past for horses from more prestigious yards.  He may have nothing to work with here, but any form of improvement and this rating is ripe for exploitation.

Muilean Na Madog,  (1453 Lingfield), 9/4:  a nightmare for the commentator but a dream possibly for the punter.  Another who has to overcome a long absence but has switched  to the Skelton yard that does well with imports.  Has some fair form before the layoff, but a wind op, a big drop in the weights and the Skelton factors suggests the start of a sequence of wins.
