Tuesday Yankee: Prada a shoe-in…

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY: Emma Prada, (1525 Limerick), 1pt win, 6/1:

A stoutly bred mare with winning point to point form who has been campaigned at shorter trips in maiden races and acquitted herself pretty well.  Gets a handy rating with plenty of room to improve now stepped up in trip.  Carries top weight here due to the paucity of talent elsewhere in this field, but Gavin Brouder takes off a useful 4lbs.  She should make a bold effort on handicap debut.

Dessie’s Diamond, (1355 Limerick), 11/4: ran a huge race when only just missing out in a handicap at Fairyhouse last week.  That race was a better quality event than this, and although this basement grade usually means the horses are untrustworthy, it may be worth giving this fella a chance to deliver.

Kitty Galore, (1425 Limerick), 7/1:   Plenty of doubts about many of these.  Kitty Galore made all to win well here three runs ago.  Two failures since may be worth excusing as she did too much too soon and then ran well above her grade last time.  Back here and with no obvious pace rival, she could revert to form.

Ballymadun, (1455 Limerick), 3/1:  revived from a form slump with a strong second at Fairyhouse last time.  Has won off this kind of mark on the past and should confirm form with  Glenabo Bridge whose good run off a big lay-off may not get reproduced.
