NFL: Alvin a laugh…

It’s NFL Sunday again, and we’re recommending a first touchdown Yankee for our subscribers to enjoy.

First up we have the Atlanta Falcons travelling to the New Orleans Saints, with the hosts clear favourites to win. Saints running back Alvin Kamara has scored seven touchdowns this season, including three in the last two games. With regular quarterback Drew Brees out injured it’s pretty clear that the Saints will rely heavily on their running game – step forward Kamara at 9/2.

The next game sees the unbeaten Pittsburgh Steelers travel to take on the hapless Jacksonville Jaguars. The visitors are 10-point favourites in this game, a huge handicap, and thus are expected to win comfortably. With this in mind, we’ll take a punt on running back James Conner scoring the first touchdown, at 11/2.

The third game sees the Cleveland Browns host the Philadelphia Eagles, looking for a win to stay in the playoff picture. The Browns have tended to rely heavily on Nick Chubb for go-forward ball at home, with the running back averaging over 100 rushing yards in his last 11 home games. We think he will be a focus again today, and take him to score first at 6/1.

The final game sees the Minnesota Vikings take on the Dallas Cowboys, with a win widely expected given the 7.5-point handicap. Running back Dalvin Cook has averaged over 1 touchdown per game in his last nine matches at home. We’ll take him to get the ball rolling with the first touchdown at 7/2.

Kamara, Conner, Chubb and Cook all to score the first touchdown in their respective games as a Yankee. (Prices due to SkyBet)
