NAP OF THE DAY: Walk Me Home, (1455 Navan), 1pt win, 3/1:
Form figures this season of 1P2U suggest this mare is a bit hit or miss. In fairness she may well have won but for a last hurdle unseat here last time. Compensation awaits off just a 1lb higher mark, although jockey Mark Walsh may be best advised to leave things late as she was making heavy weather of it having travelled up so easily last time so he may want to get as far into the race as possible before waking her up.
City Never Sleeps, (1248 Uttoxeter), 4/1: this Midlands track is very much an acquired taste and course form is crucial. Favourite Princess Roxy could be vulnerable on her first visit here and the bounce factor is a risk after her great comeback run from a long absence. No such fears for City Never Sleeps who battled to a good win here last time and although this higher mark has proven beyond him in the past he comes in here in obviously lifetime best form.
You Say Nothing, (1325 Cork), 2/1: trainer Gavin Cromwell has rapidly become one of the country’s leading trainers and looked to have immediately worked some magic when this mare looked set to win at Fairyhouse last time on only her second star run. A 2lb rise looks more than fair and she is set to correct record here.
Avithos, (1518 Exeter), 9/2: veteran mare has shown a liking for this huge galloping track, winning well here in March. She is only a few pounds higher here but looked as good as vet in a nice comeback at similarly testing Chepstow. Back here and with the golden 7lb claim of rising star Fergus Gilliard, she looks to have a great chance to record another track win.
