There are two Premier League games scheduled today, and the first sees Burnley take on Crystal Palace at Turf Moor.
The hosts have had a dreadful start to the season, and surely they are better than two points from seven games, but we thought Palace were very impressive in beating Leeds 4-1 last time out.
Wilfried Zaha has had a strong start to the season, scoring five times in eight games, and as importantly takes penalties! We’ll take him to scorer the opener today.
The evening game sees Wolves take on Southampton at Molineux, a clash between two very well run sides.
The hosts are very difficult to beat, having conceded the fewest goals in the league (joint with Spurs), but now take on a side who had won five of their last six games, scoring 14 goals in the process.
It’s tricky to predict how this game will pan out, but we note that of the nine goals Wolves have conceded, four have come from set pieces (including penalties). James Ward-Prowse has been in great form, earning a call up to the full England squad. He takes a superb free kick and is deputising for the injured Danny Ings from the penalty spot.
He’s a healthy 4/1 to score at anytime, but we think this could be a low scoring match and so the 10/1 to be the first goalscorer has more appeal.
Burnley/Palace: Zaha to score first, 1 pt, at 13/2, Paddy Power
Wolves/Southampton: Ward-Prowse to score first, 1 pt, at 10/1, Paddy Power
