Friday night sees the start of the Premier League weekend, as Crystal Palace host Newcastle at Selhurst Park.
The hosts remain without key striker Wilfried Zaha, and they will miss him, but Newcastle have looked pretty poor in their last couple of games, both 2-0 defeats to Southampton and Chelsea. Palace have been a little inconsistent, but have still collected 13 points, including impressive wins over Southampton, Leeds and Manchester United.
Newcastle have a poor record at Selhurst Park, winless in their last five visits, and we think this run will continue, even given the absence of Zaha, who has been the main source of goals for the hosts.
We have been impressed of late by the play of Eberechi Eze, the young attacking midfielder who Palace are likely to look to for most of their creativity. He scored in Palace’s last home game, and we look for him to net again, opening the scoring given there are unlikely to be many goals in this fixture.
