Tuesday Yankee: Rey of hope…

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY:  Gevrey, (1325 Punchestown), 1pt win, 13/2:

Gets the best of the weights in this novice event, benefitting from a 4yo weight allowance that will disappear in 3 weeks time.  Was always going to win at Limerick last time and looks the type to keep improving for Gordon Elliott with the spring festival handicaps in mind.

Lee Valley Legacy, (1400 Punchestown), 6/1:  left her previous form behind when staying on well for a runner-up spot at Navan last time.  The handicapper has been kind with just a 2lb rise and as such she gets in here off a crucial low weight and that can prove decisive in this ground.

School Boy Hours, (1430  Punchestown ), 9/4:  favourite Eklat De Rire may well prove to be the best horse in this race, but he is inexperienced, and is making his seasonal debut and chasing debut.  School Boy Hours already has two good course runs in novice chases to his name, and his fourth here last time has been well advertised by the runner-up’s subsequent win.  He may be the more ready today.

Hilltop Supreme, (1500 Punchestown), 13/2:  you don’t get a rating of just 95 by age 8 without knowing a few things about inconsistency, but conditions suggest it may be worth chancing Hilltop Supreme can build on his excellent fourth at Navan last time out.  He gets in here off a nice low weight which again could be crucial in the mud.
