The Daily Yankee
NAP OF THE DAY: Rockley Point, (1655 Newcastle), 1pt win 4/1:
A regular of the synthetic circuit who has been running into form of late. Ran a great race over 5f last time for a horse with winning form here over 7f. This step up to 6f should suit, and this field looks pretty thin on either talent or form.
Tukhoom, (1455 Newcastle), 1pt win, 5/1: this veteran will be much more at home over this 7f than when running on nicely over a sharp 6f at Wolves last time. Needs things to fall just right but his main market rivals may be better at either shorter or longer trips and Tukhoom can be the 7f Goldilocks, just right.
Blazing Dreams, (1525 Newcastle), 6/1: favourite Chosen World has a solid chance, but Blazing Dreams has winning form here off a higher mark. He has shown glimpses of form lately and was closing quietly behind the favourite here last time. It may be worth chancing that he is coming to the boil.
Tathmeen, (1625 Newcastle), 6/1: it can be a sure route to the poor house trying to predict this all weather veteran’s going days. Having said that we’ll try !! Last time he finished well in a decent race here. He needs them to go fast and there is plenty of pace in this field. He has a nice middle draw and if it’s going to come right this looks the perfect set-up.
