Monday Yankee: Let it Zee….

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY:

Mr Zee, (2015 Kempton), 2/1:  was an absolute revelation stepped up to this trip and asked to front run here last time when spread-eagling his opposition for a wide margin win.  Up in the weights but that is offset by employing useful apprentice Laura Pearson in the saddle and a follow up looks highly likely.

Note Bleu, (1615 Kempton), 7/2:  improved markedly when given the step up in trip that his breeding suggests, finishing second to a decent rival over this course and distance.  A short head ahead of rival Culture there and they reoppose on the same terms,  it that rival ran on late whereas Note Bleu had been mixing it with the winner and can confirm the form with more ease of ridden with a fraction more restraint.

Fard, (1645 Kempton), 3/1: has loads of experience at all weather tracks but has surprisingly only run here twice before, finishing a close fourth as a 33/1 shot before winning well next time.  Has been running well elsewhere although blew his last run with a slow start.  Must have a big chance here is breaking more smartly and jockey Laura Pearson’s 7lb claim is very valuable.

Mighty Gurkha, (1815 Kempton), 2/1:  has lifetime all weather form of 112 including a win on his only visit here in lofty Group 3 company.  Gets a penalty for that, but looks likely to outclass these from the front under Hollie Doyle.
